My school is very difference from the other school in Yogyakarta. Usually, they have many students, huge building, sport facilities, multi media room, and the other facilities. My school is far from all of that. This is my school, MTs Nurul Ummah, Built in 2005.
The first time entered this school; we never imagined that the condition is like this. We were the first generation of this school. Our number is only eleven. We came from difference provinces, from Jakarta, Kalimantan, Central Java, Malang and the other province in Indonesia. In the middle of our study in this school, we so many challenge. Fiki, the enthusiast friends between us got out. Not long after her getting out, came her substitute, but only a moment, one year, she got out too.
I still remember, in the first time I study in this school, the building of our school was joined with the building of one senior high school in my Islamic boarding school. At that time, we don’t have personal building. My school only have three rooms.
At that time, we were still naughty. We often made the teachers annoyed. Entered the second year in this school, we begun to aware a little. We had to aware because we have younger brothers. We have to be the models. By the time, this school getting bigger. In the second year, the students who registered were more, double than us.
When I was at the second year, two students from Mts Ali Maksum moved, study with us. They are Hilnawan and Kamal. Because they are from Islamic Boarding School Mts, they did not find any difficulty in adaptation with us. As the experienced older brothers, we guess no enough activities in our school. Therefore, we made OSIS for the first time in this school. It’s means that we are the founding father of OSIS Mts NU.
We always compete to be the best in and out of our school. Even my school is very difference with the other school. But, we always confident and optimist. We joined any kind of competition. Such as speech competition, wall paper-writing contest, memorizing al-Qur’an. Some championship we achieved in the Kodya level or province.
In the first semester of the ninth grade, came new student, but only a moment, she got out. Our number is twelve, only a moment.
We aware, not long time again, we will leave this school. We will complete our experience for three year in this school. But, now we have building. It is established by the aid of DMF.
Now, my beloved school has many students. We have so many activities, such as English course, scout, writing course, wallpaper and the other positive activities. Our activities are full we take a rest only a moment. But no matter, we have to study hard if we want to be the success.
